Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to examine third-age tourism within the framework of the services marketing mix. The growth of the older population and the implications of this demographic shift for the tourism industry have increased the significance of third-age tourism. The services marketing mix encompasses the elements of product, price, place, promotion, people, process, physical evidence, and performance. By discussing how each element of the services marketing mix can be adapted to the context of third-age tourism, this study examines how tourism services can be designed and delivered in accordance with the needs of older tourists. Drawing on a literature review, the study examines relevant theoretical frameworks and academic literature to identify innovative marketing strategies tailored to this market segment. In examining the elements of the marketing mix, particular attention is given to the physical, psychological, and social needs of older tourists. The study aims to provide insights into how marketing practices targeting the third-age segment can be made more effective. The originality of the study lies in its holistic examination of third-age tourism through the elements of the services marketing mix, its reinterpretation of these elements in accordance with the distinctive needs and expectations of third-age tourists, and its development of an integrative theoretical framework that synthesizes the existing literature.
