Bibliometric Analysis the Journal of Travel and Hotel Business Articles

Abstract
This study aims to determine the bibliometric profile of a total of 104 peer-reviewed articles published in 2018, 2019 and 2020 in the Journal of Travel and Hotel Business, which has the highest impact factor in 2019 among academic journals in the tourism literature in Turkey. In this context, it is the first study to sample JTHB publications. In line with the purpose of the study, bibliometric parameters were developed for the analysis of the articles; formal criteria, contextual criteria, research design and author information categories (4 categories) and criteria (21 criteria) were established. The articles examined in the research sample were analyzed within the framework of the model belonging to these developed parameters. According to some findings of the research; It has been observed that the publication approval of the articles is generally 61- 90 days, and the most examined topics according to the subjects of the articles consist of personality traits related to their opinions, attitudes, behaviors and intentions. Regarding the research universe, it has been determined that the tourism businesses are mostly chosen as the universe and accommodation businesses are preferred more among these businesses. It has been determined that quantitative research approaches are predominant. Also, it has been determined that in data collection techniques, quantitative research approaches mostly use questionnaire technique, and in qualitative research approaches mostly written sources. In addition, it has been observed that studies on subjects such as Social Media and Travel Motivation, especially studies on alternative tourism types such as Gastronomy Tourism and Cultural Tourism are the most cited studies.
