Abstract

The increasing integration of information systems into both the business world and daily life necessitates the effective analysis, storage, and reporting of the data that emerges. In particular, timely and accurate access to the right information is crucial for management levels in businesses to reach their objectives as quickly as possible. Fast and accurate access to information positively impacts the strategic decision-making processes of businesses. Therefore, it is observed that many businesses today are turning to Management Information Systems (MIS). Focusing on the changing role of information systems in businesses, this research examines the impact of Management Information Systems on strategic management processes. The study aims to contribute to businesses gaining competitive advantage by increasing their knowledge-based decision-making capabilities. The research results show that MIS has a wide area of influence extending from operational processes to strategic management processes and has become an indispensable tool for businesses.
