Abstract

The aim of this systematic review study is to examine the effect of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on individuals with antisocial personality disorder. Using the systematic review method, research articles published in English between 1996 and 2019 were examined. The study was carried out in two stages between February 2024 and May 2024, and 6 studies were considered as a result of the literature review. According to the results of these studies, it has been determined that the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in individuals with antisocial personality disorder reduces and disappears the symptoms in the long term. Therefore, this therapy has been shown to be an effective method in the treatment of antisocial personality disorder and plays an important role in reducing symptoms and achieving recovery. However, the limited number of studies on this subject in the literature reveals the need for more research on the use and effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
