The Effect of Talent Management on the Performance of Hotel Employees: A Research in Van Province

Abstract
Human resources practices have gained importance in businesses that see human resources as a competitive element. Talent management, which is considered a strategic approach for businesses, has also taken its place among these practices and has become an approach that businesses should pay attention to. Achieving set goals, gaining competitive advantage and making this competitive advantage sustainable depend on business performance. Talented employees play an important role in ensuring this performance. For this reason, businesses need to find talented employees and bring them into the business. Along with having talented employees, it is also necessary to manage these talents in the best way. By placing the right people in the right positions, maximum benefit is obtained from the employees. Effective talent management practices also affect the performance of business employees. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of talent management practices on the performance of hotel employees. The population of the research consists of 192 5-star and 4-star hotel employees in Van province. The sample size was calculated as 129, but a total of 161 surveys were evaluated. 67.1% of the survey participants are male and 55.3% are married. According to the research findings, it has been determined that talent management positively affects the performance of hotel employees.
