A Systematic Literature Study on The Use of Metaverse in Tourism Industry

Abstract
Science in the 21st century and a virtual universe that is still new to an unprecedented point is being built. This newly built world is called the Metaverse (virtual universe). Metaverse is known to be first discussed in Neal Stephenson's 1992 novel Snow Crash (parasite). In the tourism industry of Metavers, beverages are intended to help them better known destinations before travel and enable conveniences to plan their trip. Building in the tourism zone metaverse will create tourist attractions and new jobs, and this will be a huge advantage and gain to operators. This study aims to examine the concept of new metaverse tourism framework. Qualitative research method was used in the study. In the use of the study, the metaverse and the field of tourism are emphasized and 32 national and international research studies. However, due to the scarcity of studies on metaverse and tourism in the literature, the information obtained has been limited. With this study, the aims for the suggestions regarding the guiding principles, especially in the field of tourism.
