Analyzing the Factors of Affecting Medical Tourism in Turkey

Abstract

The tourism sector, which is growing rapidly and increasing in economic terms in the world, has become an important policy especially for the developing countries and the competition has risen to the highest grade on the international level. The sector provides great support to the economy not only by itself but also by providing employment and foreign exchange inputs to other sectors as well. The main objective of the study is the medical tourism in the alternative tourism, starting from this point to examine the current situation in Turkey and in accordance with certain criteria, according to the provinces to examine the factors and based on the result uncover of these factors to what extent medical tourism impact and to create a model. Six independent factors affecting medical tourism in the context of research that affects the number of medical tourists in Turkey and was investigated by the degree of influence. According to the analysis results, the number of qualified specialists and the number of qualified beds affect the number of medical tourists It was found that the number of qualified physicians is affected positive, the number of qualified beds affected the negative direction.
