Train Tourism Route Accompanied by Cultural Heritage and Natural Beauties in TR 81 Region

Abstract

The TR 81 region, which includes the provinces of Zonguldak, Karabük and Bartın, is a destination rich in touristic values. Therefore, the region, which is known for its coal mine and iron and steel industry, has a potential to come to the fore with its tourism values. With the influence of social media in recent years, the Karaelmas Express, which can be considered as a popular train tourism point, also passes through the provinces of Karabük and Zonguldak. For this reason, it is aimed to prepare tour programs with different days and alternatives in which the tourism values of the region can be presented with train tourism. Before the tour programs were prepared, the tourism values of the region were gathered under certain headings with document analysis and marked on the map. Visits were made to the points to be included in the tour programs. After the visits to the points to be included in the tour programs, tour programs with different alternatives have been prepared. The prepared tour programs were applied by the researcher during the field study. The availability of tour programs with different alternatives can be a motivating factor for travel agencies in organizing tours for the destination. Two of the daily tour programs and one of the overnight tour programs prepared within the scope of the study were carried out by different travel agencies without any problems.
